Abstract(in English) | Silica glass has intrinsically excellent optical and mechanical performance. Supported by rigorous research and development, silica-based optical fibers have made great progress and have been deployed in various fields, not only telecommunication, but also optical sensing, energy transmission, medical diagnosis and treatment, and lasers. This report describes the recent progress of the silica-based optical fibers and the future development. |
