Study on a Self-Adaptive Timing Synchronization : A Method to Avoid Local Optimizations

Abstract(in English) In ad hoc network without a base station, timing synchronization with an autonomous-decentralized control is one of the most interesting problem. The timing synchronization algorithms have been investigated, such as minimizing an average or a deviation on difference from transmitting time of the neighboring nodes. Nevertheless these algorithms work well timing among a few nodes would not be synchronized, because local optimal solutions is included in the optimal solutions of them. We study features of the local optimal solution and propose a timing synchronization algorithm with a simple modification to avoid local optimizations.
