Abstract(in English) In this paper, we proposed a following car tracking method based on a particle filter algorithm for a video sequence recorded by a drive video recorder. The aim of our proposal system is that the operator has only to select one arbitrary frame to track a following car whole frame in a recorded video sequence. Especially, we focus on two geometric models, one is based on texture information and the other is based on Haar-like feature, for a particle filter algorithm. In the result, the combined method is effective to track a following car when a part of the car is occluded.
