Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) MUGI is a pseudorandom number generator developed by Hitachi in 2001. To clarify the relation between the linear part of the update function of MUGI and the corresponding security, we proceed some experiments. As a security criterion, we choose the resistance against linear distinguishing attack. In this paper, we report those experimental results.
