Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ion-track membranes were electroplated to prepare composite films that contain Cu nanowires filled in the ion-track pores. Polyimide (PI) filns were irradiated with 450 MeV ^<129>Xe^<23+> ions and then etched with sodium hypocMorite solution to form thin pores of 1 μm diameter. Cu was filled into the pores by electroplating in a copper sulfate solution to form composite films that are embedded with Cu nanowires. On the surface of the membranes, small electrodes were deposited to measure the conductivity of the Cu nanowires. When the ion fluence was 3.0x10^5 ions/cm^2, the resistance was too small to estimate the conductivity of Cu nanowires. On the other hand, when the ion fluence was reduced to 3.0x10^3 ions/cm^2, the conductance beneath the deposited electrodes took discrete values, corresponding to the individual of nanowires under the electrode. This enabled to estimate the conductivity of Cu nanowires. It was found that the conductivity of Cu nanowires is in good correspondence with the value reported for bulk Cu crystal.
