Abstract(in English) In the present study, we developed the three-D acoustic stimulator in which the visual condition and directional response of subjects were configurable by using the head mounted display. In our previous study, the sound localization task in the vertical arrangement of sound sources in the front-middle plane was conducted in the five body positional conditions with actual vision. The previous study reported that the correct response rates of sound localization changed by the body positional condition of the subjects. The subjects of the previous study could use both the vision and the sense of balance for recognition of their body positions. Therefore, it was unclear whether the body positional effect depends on either visions or sense of balance. In the newly-developed stimulator, presentation of the virtual vision on the head mounted display enables the experiment in the various conditions, i.e. artificial body positional condition, artificial sound source condition, non-visual condition and so on.
