Abstract(in English) A 5GHz-band SiGe-MMIC Transceiver for 324Mbps Transmission is developed, which includes a 5GHz-band direct conversion quadrature modulator, a 5GHz-band mixer, a 1GHz-band variable gain amplifier, a 1GHz-band direct conversion quadrature demodulator, a 1GHz-band PLL synthesizer, and a 4GHz-band PLL synthesizer. The broadband transceiver characteristics are obtained by utilizing a 5GHz-band direct conversion quadrature modulator using a circular polyphase filter for the transmitter, and the broadband variable gain amplifier and direct conversion quadrature demodulator for the receiver which has a 1GHz-band intermediate frequency super-heterodyne system. The MMIC performs EVM of 3.3%rms in Tx chain and EVM of 5.9%rms in Rx chain using 64-QAM OFDM signals with the channel bandwidth of 120MHz, which corresponds to the data rate of 324Mbps. The MMIC transmits a high vision video stream data without interruption.
