Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) InterActor is a CG-embodied interaction character driven by iRT which is the Inter-Robot Technology to make communicative motions and actions based on only speech input for entrained interaction. In this paper, the concept of an embodied entrainment character chat system "InterChat" is proposed for human interaction sharing between the text and the motions through embodied entrainment characters in chat communications because the typing rhythms resembles the speech rhythms. The prototype of the system is developed by introducing enhanced iRT model which can make motions, where the communicative motions and natural actions can be generated easily from both the typing rhythms and the meaning of the words of sending and receiving messages.
