Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a method to support human daily tasks with providing 'step-by-step' guidance information via voice and video. The temporal and contextual control of the guidance information is achieved based on the progress of user's task. In our method, system measures 3-D appearance of users and compare the results with preconstructed 3-D posture models to determine the current human position, direction, and posture. Our algorithm using a precomputed voting table enables fast recognition process for real time performance. User's current state in a target task is determined with the transition of human postures and guidance information for the next motion is provided to users with audio and video. In this paper, we demonstrate our implementation of interactive guidance system for a toilet task.
