Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In wireless ad-hoc networks and sensor networks, for achieving higher connectivity with limited battery capacity, wireless multihop transmission should be applied for data messages. In order to achieve higher end-to-end throughput, collisions between wireless signals transmitted by multiple mobile computers not adjacent in the multihop transmission route should be avoided. The authors have proposed H2SWL (Multihop Transmission along a Sequence of Hop-by-Hop Shortening Wireless Links) by which the collisions are avoided with an assumption of power control signal transmission mechanism in each mobile computers and shown that it achieves higher end-to-end throughput by simulation. Though the authors have also designed a routing protocol RH2SWL (Routing Protocol for H2SWL), achieved routing ratio is not so high since RH2SWL is based-on flooding and each mobile computer broadcasts Rreq control message only once. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes an extended protocol RH2SWLwRB (RH2SWL with Re-Broadcasts) which includes re-broadcast of Rreq in each mobile computers for higher routing ratio and additional mechanism for avoidance of wireless signal collisions.
