Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various wireless network bearers, such as wireless LAN, W-CDMA, and VPN, are getting popular. Thus, a multi mode terminal needs to select a suitable access method depending on what services are used. Legacy terminals, however, have no framework to automatically select a suitable access method. Therefore, the user needs to select manually, this might cause usability problems. This paper proposes a function to select and establish the network connection automatically. With this proposal, we can easily use services without being aware of selection and establishment of the network access.
