Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A dynamically reconfigurable hardware (DRH) reconfigures the function of PEs and their interconnections by context switching. The previous works were related to enhancement of the PE utility ration and the reduction of dynamic power consumption by the limited number of switching contexts. In this paper, we examine the dynamic power consumption and effective clock of DRH by various process allocations on contexts. We also estimate the power consumption with leak current under more high frequency and more fine process. Then, we propose a hierarchial context switch control to reduce the power consumption of the DRH system. The simulation shows that the hierarchial context switch control reduces static power consumption very much with a small hardware cost.
