Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to support various wireless standards such as WLAN or IMT-Advanced a cognitive radio terminal requires an A/D converter with flexible sampling rate. By setting the sampling rate higher than the Nyquist, fractional sampling realizes path diversity because it can extracts the different impulse response of the channel for each sampling point. Therefore, in cognitive radio, the sampling rate selection relates to QoS requirements as well as system selection. In this report, new research results regarding the diversity effect of fractional sampling, a sampling rate selection scheme based on channel conditions, signal detection with fractional sampling, a new sampling rate conversion scheme, and signal processing schemes in direct sampling receivers are presented.
