Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a novel method for estimating the frequency, amplitude, and phase of a real sinusoid from a finite observation of their mixture. We start from the characteristic differential equation of sinusoid and arrive newly at an exact and direct algorithm from a finite duration observation of the signal. It inherently involves the finite Fourier transform, thus even sufficiently spaced multiple sinusoids can be decomposed and estimated independently and accurately. Using simulated data, the proposed algorithm is shown to detect multiple sinusoids in additive noise. Finally the algorithm is applied to some musical and speech sounds to illustrate its properties.
