Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, a new working style called "Free-Address" is spreading out, and technology to change an IP address with a terminal being in condition to communicate is necessary, SCTP "Stream Control Transmission Protocol(RFC2960)" and its "ADD-IP" extension enable to change an address of endhost without stopping communication. While in use of the automatic IP address update function, it is known that several problems which includes disconnection of communication and waisting time are likely to occur. In this research, we give an address selection policy to IP address automatic update function. When an endhost get a new IP address, it decides whether to use the IP address using this policy. We show that this method makes the IP address automatic update function of SCTP more stable.
