Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, opportunities to read and write English documents have increased since importance of English is growing in our daily lives. Several systems using a search engine have been proposed to support English composition. Since the Web includes a large amount of text data, it enables us to refer usage of English expressions and verify the validity of usage by hit counts of queries. This paper proposes a support tool for English composition using a search engine. The proposed tool constructs queries automatically from an entered expression. It provides tables and graphs based on hit counts of those queries, and usage of the expression based on user's English level. It also constructs a learning support function based on user's search log.
