Abstract(in English) More than 500W of peak output power (pulse width 400μs, duty 20%) and over 27dB of power gain are achieved with newly developed C-band Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA). The SSPA uses internally matched GaAs FETs with power supply circuits and air cooling fans. The final stage of the SSPA is consisted with eight 90W GaAs FETs and a low loss combiner. Eight SSPAs are combined to fabricate a transmitter of 3.5kW Doppler weather radar. Compared with the former Klystron tubes, our novel SSPAs are smaller, more reliable and enable to reduce the amounts of occupied frequency bandwidth.
