Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Comb-line antennas are designed by using the electric constant described in the data sheet of the substrate. However, some range of variation exists in the relative dielectric constant, loss tangent, thickness of substrate, width of feeding line, length and width of radiating elements. Variations of relative dielectric constant, thickness of substratewidth of feeding line cause variation of guided wavelength. Variations of width and length of radiating element causevariation of radiation characteristics and S-parametersof radiating elements. Since these variation ranges are large compared with the wavelength in the millimeter-wave band, influence on the antenna performance due to the variations is significantly large. Wide range of tolerance is very important in manufacturing the antenna. We investigate the influence on radiation pattern against the former mentioned variationsin fabrication of comb-line antenna on substrate of fluorine substitution. The results are summarized in this paper.
