Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the design of millimeter-wave microstrip comb line antenna with traveling-wave excitation, various radiation patterns can be designed by using appropriate aperture distribution of amplitude and phase. In order to perform 45 degrees diagonal polarization for automotive millimeter-wave radar systems, radiating elements on the left side of the transmission line are connected with 45 degrees from the line, while the elements on the right side are with 135 degrees from the line. Since they are assumed to be the same characteristics in the conventional design, the design accuracy was relatively low. Here, we propose the design which takes the difference between the characteristics of the left and right sides into account. Improvement of the design accuracy is confirmed by electromagnetic simulation.
