| Abstract(in English) | EAN code is one of barcodes widely used in retail sales, logistics and others. Barcodes are considerd very reliable but enough reliability data are not available. A new error model is introduced which incorporates contaminations on barcodes. It is shown that a single error on a barcode symbol is detectable. However, some double errors cause the barcode synbol read incorrectly. A new blemish model on barcodes in introduced. This paper derives miss-read probability under the model. |
