Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An electrical-contact-less measurement method using a rigid coaxial line is proposed for PIM evaluation of RF metallic materials. DUT is excited by the standing wace field in the open- or short-ended coaxial line, qhich realizes PIM-evaluation of DUT without electrical contacts and soldering connection. It is advantageous that a nonlinearity effect due to electrical contacts is completely neglected in the proposed methods. Firstly in this paper, we present a method using the Poynting power delivered space, and discuss effective DUT arrangement for PIM evaluation. Next, a method using the space inside the inner conductor is also presented. Its validity is confirmed thorough through experiments on 2GHz band and an electromagnetic simulation technique. The proposed method enables to evaluate unti-soldering materials such as Ti, Al and do some low-PIM materials such as brass.
