Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We recorded the behaviour of single ants under the environment without a nest and food, analyzed the time-seires of increments of velocity and body direction. As the result, we found that the fluctuations of travel distance and the variance of ant-body direction obey power laws on the time interval. In particular, there was long term correlation in the velocity dispersion, on the other hand, there was not long term correlation longer than 1 sec in the variance of body direction. Based on these results, we propose a stochastic model which simulates the ant walking behaviour, and discuss about the foraging behaviour of ants.
