Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A C-major sequences of six tones was made taking into consideration the spatial structure of the musical tones proposed by Krumhansl. An atonal sequence was made from this C-major sequence by changing three of the six notes. MMFs were measured by changing the last note in each of the two sequences with probability 0.2-0.25. MMFs were larger when the subject encounters the deviant sequence associated with the atonal sequence than with the tonal sequence suggesting connection between auditory cortical activity and recognition of tonal and atonal tone sequences.
