Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fatalities, injuries and the frequency of road accidents in Japan, 2006 decreased tremendously. But, we can not simply say that various safety measures affected, since the frequency of car use reduced significantly among people, due to prominent fuel cost-up. Although accidents reduced, the frequency of road accidents itself accounted still 900,000 and it is very high level. Therefore, scientific analysis and proposal for counter measures are highly expected in the society. Image record type drive video recorder is a new technology to just meet this demand and has been distributing rapidly among taxi last few years. Ergonomic analysis with data obtained from 200 taxi-vehicles revealed that this new technology is very useful for accident/near accident analysis and prevention as well, in regard with bicycle related accidents, environment improvement may be a key factor to solve the problem through tel-field study.
