Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new technique for solving a fault in Curvature Scale Space(CSS). CSS is well known as one of the multi-resolutional analysis which represents features of a contour shape. Moreover, CSS has robustness for affine-transformation and a contour degradation given by noises. However, it has weakness for degradation in a straight part of contour. To select essential features by reconstructing contour from zero-crossings and extrema of an original CSS, the proposed method has the robustness for the degradation. The key features are selected by omitting the features that don't contribute to the reconstruction of the contour. As a result, the selected features have the robustness for the degradation of contours.
