Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Footstep has different sounds which are caused by walking manner, footwear and the floor condition. If personal footsteps are identified, its technology will be applicable to a part of security systems. Moreover, if the difference of right-and-left footstep and walking manner are analyzed, estimation for human bone structure and condition of health may be possible. Thus, if a footstep is discriminable, a lot of applications to various fields can be considered. Conventional researches on the personal footstep identification had discussed mainly feature extraction. Duration of footstep is elastic, in general. DP matching expands and contracts time axes, and absorbes time axes fluctuations. It is suitable for footstep analysis. In this paper, We propose a method using DP matching. It is shown that the proposed method has a good performance.
