Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-hop communications remain an active research topic. This paper focuses on enhancing reverse link system capacity in W-CDMA two-hop cellular systems with fixed hop stations (HSs), where we propose two schemes to reduce multi access interference (MAI). One is relay multiplexing transmission power control (RMTPC) and the other is site diversity with relay transmission power control (SDRTPC). In RMTPC, an HS multiplexes the packets with transmission power control (TPC) and relays the results to the base station (BS). In SDRTPC, an HS relays recieved packet with TPC in site diversity between the base station (BS) and the mobile station (MS)/HS. Computer simulations demonstrate that these two schemes provide effective system capacity enhancement.
