Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we apply adaptive array antenna to cognitive radio nodes in order to reduce the interference from the primary system. While the adaptive array antenna can create null towards the direction of primary system, the created antenna pattern can result in non-optimized pattern between nodes in the cognitive radio network. In order to solve such a problem, this paper introduces two techniques. The first technique is the interference-induced multi-hop transmission where the multi-hop transmission is utilized when a link in the network suffers from the low transmission quality due to the created antenna pattern. We show that the efficiency by only this technique is few when considering a very small number of nodes in cognitive networks. In order to amend that problem, we introduce a simple antenna pattern switching. With this tecunique, each cognitive radio node is equipped with three antennas and the node tries to select the antenna configuration that results in the best antenna pattern for each link. Our numerical results show the improvements on the achievable rate in the cognitive radio networks by proposed these techniques. |
