Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) UWB device development and world-wide regulatory approval are increasing momentum to meet the new business opportunity in the short-distance high-speed wireless applications. UWB, being a new paradigm to share the frequency resource with existing and future radio systems, introduction of the Detect-and-Avoid (DAA) technology will become mandatory within a few years of time. This paper describes issues of the victim radio detection, and, taking WiMAX as an example, discusses approaches to implement DAA.
