Optimum Radio Resources Selection Algorithm for Cognitive Wireless Cloud

Abstract(in English) Cognitive Wireless Cloud is an architecture for effcient spectrum use by the cognitive radio terminals which has multiple air interfaces and utilizes any available wireless networks, by autonomic detection and selection on each terminal. In order to deal with huge number of cognitive radio terminals, we need distributed optimization algorithm which improves capacity and quality of the total system by autonomous behavior of each terminal. In this paper, we introduce energy function of the mutual connection neural network for realizing capacity optimization in such a distributed and autonomous complex system. The neural network for access point selection can be realized by the following steps: states of the cognitive radio terminal is defines by firing patterns of the neural network, capacity maximization problem is expressed by the state of the neuron, and connection weights are obtained by comparing with energy function of the neural network. We show autonomous and distributed neural network dynamics enables load balancing and improvement of total throughput by numerical simulation.
