Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical label system is one of the candidates for all-optical network. Label should be added and rec-ognized immediately to reduce delay time on each switching device. Narrow spectrum and enough code patterns are also required in a view of recognition property. Spectrum-Time Modulation (S-T) is one method which can generate and modulate optical labels from longitudinal modes of the Mode-Locked Laser Diode (MLLD). This report shows the mechanism of S-T and analyzes the relation between the delay-time of longitudinal modes and correlation waveforms. We introduce sample codes using S-T, and decide the parameter that can improve correlation properties.
