| Abstract(in English) | An international field demonstration on lambda-based Internet exchange (IX) was conducted between China and Japan for the first time. By Generalized Multiple Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS)-controlled Photonic Cross-connects (PXCs) and Layer 2 switches (L2SWs), the IX could provide the resilient lambda interconnection as well as L2 interconnection to the Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Stable lambda LSP establishment, fast recovery and dynamic bandwidth management were successfully achieved in the field environment. IP Traffic transmission including smooth video stream between two ISPs connected via the IX was also verified. |
