Abstract(in English) Aiming for high capacity and high reliability in next generation photonic networks, a photonic cross connect (PXC) is intensively studied, hi addition to fast and economical network fault recovery, high reliability of data plane and control plane is required for the PXC. A novel restoration mechanism is studied, and structures of control and data plane are studied to achieve the requirements. We describe the developed prototype of PXC and demonstration tests which verify that the PXC achieves fast network fault recovery.
