Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The objective of this paper is to exchange the position information between a pedestrian and his nearby vehicles effectively, in order to defend pedestrians from serious traffic accidents. We deal with direct communications between pedestrians and vehicles. We call this kind of communications as VPEC (Vehicle-Pedestrian Communications). Due to saving of communication band from pedestrians' terminal (p-node), we have present reflect-transmission schemes. In this paper, we focus on collisions in intersections because approximately 45% of all accidents happen in intersections. So we present the algorithm to judge situation in intersections and show the validity of VPEC in demonstration experiments.
