Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is effective to apply multicast MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching), especially P2MP-TE (Point-to-multipoint MPLS traffic engineering), to this network in order to provide high-quality and high-reliability multicast service for the future network. In this paper, we make the requirements clear to improve the serviceability and quality of service of multicast traffic service, and consider how to apply multicast MPLS to transfer multicast packets. We propose and evaluate the method that reduces the wasted traffic without grafting and pruning of sub-LSPs even if there is no subscriber on the certain egress routers, which are the end of the multicast MPLS tree. The method of RSVP extension to notify users' information to branch nodes is more effective than other methods.
