Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have designed and implemented a prototype of a network display system, where a user uses a simple network display terminal, which only implements data I/O function and communication function, to access network services, assuming that a network connection is always available. The simplicity allows a lightweight terminal. In the prototype, PC remote control, video phone, and video contents streaming services can be accessed via a terminal which weighs between 500 and 600 grams. In this paper, we introduce the system architecture and the display terminal of the prototype.
