Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To assist the walking of the transibial handicapped, new active transitibial prosthesis was developed with the touch sensors on the plantar and angle sensor built in the ankle joint of the prosthesis and driven with compressed air through the electromagnetic valves or electric pulses to stepping motor. The control system was embedded with microcontroller PIC16F876 or PIC16F877A. To apply this prosthesis for different handicapped more easily, digital signal controller dsPIC30F4013 is embedded to control the desired movement of the ankle joint angle trough the calculation with neural network of the prosthesis.
