Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Primary auditory cortex of rhesus macaque is a koniocortex with thick gray matter in central part and thinner peripheral part. Medical part of this is more compact than lateral part. Cytochrome-Oxidase stained sections showed quasi-columnar-pattern (approximately 500 micron meter width), and this may suggest the existence of blob-like structure, such as in primary visual cortex.
