Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Desynchronization of feature sequences and its effect in online character recognition based on elastic matching are investigated. The investigation has provided the following results. First, desynchronized use of features (e.g., x-coordinate and y-coordinate) realizes the wide-range shape adaptation between character patterns. Second, local desynchronization is quite useful to improve the recognition accuracy. |
