Abstract(in English) IEEE802.15.3c (TG3c) is working to create a IEEE standard for WPAN that can operate in an unlicensed 60-GHz band. The authors formed a consortium named "CoMPA" aiming at early popularization of millimeter-wave device market. This paper describes what kind of discussions were opened among the CoMPA members regarding applications and a background of the conclusion coming from CoMPA members that "Kiosk File-downloading" should be the first millimeter-wave application to be installed at the earliest stage. This paper also describes a detail of usage models which have been discussed in TG3c and refers to the issue to be solved in each usage model.
