Transmit Power Control for Pilot-based CQI Reporting in OFDMA/TDD Systems

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes transmit power control for pilot-based CQI reporting in OFDMA/TDD systems. In the proposed method, the terminal controls transmit power of CQI pilot signals, so that the base station (BS) can receive the pilot signals with higher power than interference-plus-noise power. In process of transmit power control, the terminal determines appropriate power level by open-loop control using downlink common pilot signals. We also show that uplink radio resources for CQI reporting can be effectively reduced by extending period to update transmit power than period to send CQI pilot signals.
