Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e) uses OFDM/TDMA for its air interface and flexibly assigns radio resource in frequency/time domain, for high spectral efficiency and QoS. Information for controlling the radio resource allocation is transmitted on MAP in timely-multiplexed/divided broadcast channel at the beginning of each frame. Hence, the reliability of MAP messages transmission is critical for its system performance such as throughput, coverage, and mobility. This paper reports MAP messages transmission performance in SISO link-level. OFDMA symbol structure and sub-channelization are based on IEEE802.16e standard. Linear-interpolation is compared with 2-D MMSE for channel estimation using dedicated pilots. Simulation result show that linearly interpolated channel estimation provides a floor curve in vicinity of 10^<-5> of bit error rate, under rural propagation-channel model- SUI5 (rms delay = 2.842 μs), regardless of mobile terminal speed.
