Abstract(in English) | We have newly developed white-light-emitting organic devices with employing side-coupling color conversion layer(SC3M), in which the lateral emission originating from the emitting layer is transfered to the adjacent color convertion layer. Blue light source for SC3M device consists of polymer carrier transporting layer and small-molecule light emitting layer, and orange-red dye is used as a color conversion material. High efficiency was obtained by adjusting the blue emission spectra, excitation properties of color conversion and areal ratio between them. This study demonstrated the out-coupling efficiency is surely improved to over the theoretical limit of 20%. |
