Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Characteristics of origanic thin-film-transistors (OTFTs) are limited by various effects originated from the electrode. We developed a four-point-probe field-effect transistor (EPP-FET) measurement system which can eliminate such effects and enables us to estimate an intrinsic carrier mobility of materials. In this study, we have measured the mobility of pentacene thin-films by FPP-FET measurement. From temperature and grain-size dependences of the mobility, we calculated the hole transport barrier and the effective mass in practically important disordered polycrystalline films of pentacene.
