Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Electric fields irradiated from a RJ45 connector for Ethernet transmission is under investigation by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and by experimental measurements. Simulation results of electric fields irradiated from the RJ45 connector are presented and compared with those obtained from measurement data at a test distance of 10 meters for vertical and hotizontal polarizations in the frequency range from 300 to 1000 MHz. It is found that simulation results make a good agreement with measurement data. It is also found that simulation and measurement results for both vertical and horizontal polarizations are over the regulation limit at 600 MHz. Redesign of a RJ45 connector to meet the regulation limit is needed in further studies.
