Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cognitive radio communication technology has gotten a lot of attention for improving an efficiency of spectrum usage. This paper studies technical issues for constructing a network between cognitive radio base stations equipped with heterogeneous wireless media. A feasibility of the multi-transmission approach for cellular and wireless LAN is studied from the viewpoint of multi-mode, multi-band, and multi-channel. Area coverage, convergence between heterogeneous wireless media, architecture for the cognitive radio base station and cooperation with core network is also studied for the network.
