Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the source driver circuit design of an active matrix liquid crystal display, the ratio of the pixel voltage to hte video voltage (PRV) of a pixel determined the quality of display, and hence must be maintained as close to 100% as possible in various conditions such as feeding types of video voltage and fluctuations of circuit parameters. In this paper, we consider an optimality of a sampling switch size and a sampling pulse waveform, and propose an algorithm to generate a number of these pairs, each of which minimizes not only the range of PRV varied by the conditions but also the difference from 100%. Moreover, for each such a pair, we give a figure of suitability to the buffer design in order to optimize both buffer and sampling circuits. An experimental result is also shown to evaluate the algorithm and figure.
