Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To deal in digital contents on the internet, it is very important to show the outline of the contents. Digital contents can be copied so easily that it is unable to show all of the contents to customers before purchase. In the case of digital text, only a few pages from the text can be showed for sales promotion. Recently we developed a new system of outline production which discloses some strings of the characters in the text. In this study, we examined the influence of the semi-disclosure of the text on the understanding the contents. The results showed that reading performance was affected by the rates of the disclosed characters in the text, but it was not changed if the disclosed characters were selected randomly or the significant strings of the characters were disclosed.
