Abstract(in English) We propose an automatic detection method of facial feature point for face recognition from a single image. In this paper, facial feature point set candidates including fourteen points are detected through image feature extraction, pattern matching and geometrical conditions among neighboring points. Then the most appropriate set is selected by global geometrical consistency based on a 3-dimensional generic facial shape model. The effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated through experiment.
