Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When an observer moves with high velocity in wide space, it's very difficult to examine the observer's depth perception by an experiment in which the experimental conditions are controlled tightly. So, the authors conducted the experiment in which the experimental conditions were controlled roughly, in order to examine depth perception produced by retinal expanding motion in accordance with the observer's motion when the observer moved with high velocity in wide space. The results indicated that (a) retinal expanding motion in accordance with the observer's motion produced depth perception when the observer moved with high velocity in wide space, and (b) accuracy of perceived depth increased with increment of velocity and depth.
